Driver safety is critical to the creation of a safe, sustainable transport system. Driver well-being is one of the three main tenets of Unified’s philosophy. The knowledge learned on this course can  be applied to wide range of incidents and is relevant for all professional drivers, not only taxi or private hire drivers.

This online classroom course guides professional drivers in the correct way to report a range of issues affecting driver safety and well-being, such as road traffic accidents, fare disputes, dangerous driving, customer service issues, abuse, allegations and criminal damage. The course explains how reporting correctly will ensure matters are properly and fully investigated by the relevant authorities.

We cover in detail what data protection and GDPR mean for your business, and the things you must do as a business to make sure you are protecting yourself and the privacy of your customers.

For those working in high risk environments, such as non-emergency patient transport and private ambulance services, we cover specific healthcare industry requirements such as patient confidentiality and the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.

The course includes practical guidance on how to create all the necessary paperwork to support the correct use of CCTV for business and evidential purposes, and we provide example templates for all the documentation you will need to ensure you are operating legally and safely.

The course finishes with expert advice on how to effectively report incidents, including how to make notes that can used in evidence, how to write a witness statement, and how to follow up complaints to make sure they are being investigated correctly.

The course is delivered online via video meeting technology and is 3 hours long.

This course is a 3 hour online webinar.
