Location: Online Classroom

Suitable for: Public, small businesses/sole traders, anyone with an interest in UK GDPR and Data Protection

Outcomes: Learn about data protection rules and what you need to do to operate within the law

UK GDPR and data protection laws apply to everyone, not just commercial enterprises. If you are a small business or sole trader then you must have an understanding of data protection rules. The penalties and fines for non-compliance are significant.

As a member of the public, UK GDPR probably won’t affect you in most cases if you are simply going about your own personal business. However, what happens if you do process data for a purpose that doesn’t fall into the ‘personal or household’ category?

What exemptions are there in the Data Protection Act 2018 and how do they work?

What do you need to do as a data controller?

What about home CCTV systems?

How do other cameras work if you use them to record in public? What can you do with the footage?

If you would like to know the correct answers to all these questions, and much more, then this course is for you. Taking you from the basics of data protection through to the paperwork you will need to have to ensure you are operating legally and safely.

This course is led by an expert tutor. At the end of the course you will receive an e-certificate confirming your completion of the course.

This course is a 2 hour online webinar. *IMPORTANT* – our online classroom courses are set up like a normal classroom. Everyone on the call is in the same virtual room.
